Rebun Island is the northernmost remote island located 60 kilometers west of Wakkanai City in the Sea of Japan.
Cape Sukoton is at the northern limit of Rebun Island.
You can see “Todo Island” (uninhabited island) in front of the wide expanse of ocean, and Cape Kanedanomisaki on the opposite shore, where you may be able to encounter wild spotted seals.
Cape Sukai with its gracefully arcing bays and steep cliffs, is located in the northwestern part of the island. Its greatest attraction is the cobalt blue sea that seems to peek down to the bottom of the ocean!
