Autumn has come and cosmos flowers are in bloom!
In Japan, cosmos is written as 秋桜 (autumn cherry blossom).
Taiyo no Oka Engaru Park is an urban park covering approximately 65 hectares.
In this park, “Niji no Hiroba (Rainbow Square)”, featuring cosmos as its main attraction, opened in 2003.
From late August to late September, ten million cosmos flowers brilliantly colour the 10-hectare area.
It is one of the largest cosmos gardens in Japan.
Some unique varieties of cosmos can be found only in Engaru Town.
